Olivia's Ears

After some reoccurring ear infections this year, the pediatrician suggested we see the ENT. We met with the ENT and found out that Olivia was having Chronic fluid in her ears which was causing hearing loss (temporary due to the fluid) and this was causing the infections. So, Olivia was scheduled to have tubes put in her ears and have her Adenoids vaporized (they spray the Adenoids instead of cutting them out on a little child). On Nov. 19 Olivia went in for her outpatient surgery. We had to be there at 6am which meant leaving the house at 4:45a. Olivia was nervous for the surgery and it wasn't a fun experience, but overall it went very well and she is doing great!

Bear got to wear a hat and go into surgery with Olivia...

The happy medicine starting to kick in...

All finished with surgery and slowly coming back...
Popsicles were the only thing that made the day better...

Not too happy about the EV and ready for it to come out...

I didn't have a camera but the hospital stay ended with a smile as Olivia got to ride in a kids sized wheel chair out to the car. It to about 3 days for the soreness to go away and the doctor says her ears look great! In a couple weeks we'll have another hearing test to see the progress.
