So much for shoes and that nice shower she already took!

Naptime for Baby
It was close to closing time for most of the museums but we made a quick trip up the National Mall near the Smithsonian Museums.

Another quick pic on the way...
A beautiful flower in one of the gardens that I thought would be a great desktop background.
The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden of Modern Art was closed but we were able to enjoy some of the outside features...

And Sarah found a place to rest her belly!

On to the monuments...

The Washington Monument

National World War II Memorial
It is the first national memorial dedicated to all who served during World War II and acknowledging the commitment and achievement of the entire nation.

Field of 4,000 Gold Stars honors more than 400,000 lives lost during the war.

Walking along the Reflecting Pool that stretches between the Washington Monument... ...and the Lincoln Memorial
Olivia found all the airplanes that flew by!
Watching the ducks...

Feeding them some crakers...

Whee!

Smile :)
Korean War Veterens Memorial
Nineteen stainless steel sculptures stand silently under the watchful eye of a sea of faces upon a granite wall—reminders of the human cost of defending freedom. These elements all bear witness to the patriotism, devotion to duty, and courage of Korean War veterans.

The Lincoln Memorial

The Vietnam Memorial Wall
With the addition of six names added in 2010 the total is now 58,267 names listed on the Memorial. Approximately 1200 of these are listed as missing (MIA's, POW's, and others).
It had been a full day and was time to head home...

...a couple last smiles of the day :)
