Bulgogi, Presents & Friends

Last night we had a wonder time with our friends the Watkins. They invited us over for dinner...delicious Bulgogi-Korean BBQ (Compliments of Cat's Mom! Thanks!) along with rice, potatoes, dumplings, spicy cucumbers, macaroni salad and pepperment brownies!

Here's a little info on the delicious Bulgogi...

Bulgogi in Korean means fire meat – “fire meat” does not refer to the spiciness of the dish but rather the cooking technique (open fire grilling) used. Bulgogi was developed somewhere in the 37BC, and was traditionally prepared as a feast for the royalties (I feel very special!).
Bulgogi is prepared using thin slices of sirloin cuts of beef (though chicken and pork may also be used). You first marinates the meat in a heavenly mixture of spices, herbs, and condiments (which include garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and salt among other things) and then pan fry the meat.
Ours also had carrots, onions & peppers...yum!

The girls enjoyed an evening of exchanging gifts and lots of play time!

They had a great time exchanging presents and playing...Zach tried to join in too!
